According to CNN; Apple is planning a move into the Smart Homes space. If it turns out to be true than players such as Revolv, Smartthings, and even Google have a battle on their hands. In this space for 20+ years and pretty buzzed on this rumor. It is expected that Apple is to unveil a new platform that will allow you to do all the cool stuff such as automating lights, heating, security and so on…. Let’s see how it goes next week.

ADT IS DOING ‘OKAYISH’ WITH ITS SMART SECURITY SYSTEM OFFERING…
According to an article published on Seeking Alpha, ADT is generating some real revenue with its range of smart home security products. As outlined in my own book, security and safety are seen as key enablers of smart home 2.0. This is borne out in the ADT figures, which are forecasting an upward trajectory of revenue from smart home services over the coming months and years.
