News in the smart house space is starting to level out a bit, so I’m thinking that about 3 new stories a week is probably a good benchmark. Of course, that could change, anyway here are this week’s updates in the Smart House space:
SWANN RELEASES NEW LINEUP OF SMART HOME PRODUCTS
Although not in the same brand awareness league as Google and Samsung, a US-based company called Swann has this week released a new suite of home automation products branded – SwannOne…According to the Web-site, security will be the main focus of their solution.
INTERESTING NEW SMART HOUSE PRODUCT
Despite the fact that companies such as Philips, TCP Wireless, and Lifx own a large portion of the emerging smart bulb marketplace; various companies continue to innovate in this space. A new product branded as Alba was announced this week that claims to support various types of responsive features. In reality, it consists of a bulb that includes a range of sensors that can be used to adjust light levels based on temperature, time of day, and occupancy. Similar to the Hue it comes with a hub, which gets connected into your router. Alba is available for Pre-order.
ONE OF ORIGINAL SMART HOME AUTOMATION SUPPLIERS INTRODUCES NEW CONTROLLER
Homeseer is in the smart home automation space for years and in particular the DIY segment. This week they announced an upgraded smart home hub dubbed the ‘HomeTroller-SEL’. Homeseer is a big advocate of the Z-Wave range of products and its new hub includes support for the latest versions of the smart home protocol. Features such as voice control and alert management are also supported by the new hub.
